Data Assimilation
The dynamic environmental and structural behavior of Louisiana’s coastal regions remains insufficiently quantified, limiting predictive capabilities for coastal design and management.
This project develops a digital reconstruction and data assimilation framework for natural shorelines by integrating oceanographic and meteorological observations with structural and geometric information. This work will deliver open-access databases and computational tools to support coastal restoration, resilience, and disaster recovery.
