About

I am an Assistant Professor of Coastal Engineering in the Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. My vision is to advance resilient and sustainable coastal communities through digital twin technologies that unify high-fidelity, reduced-order, and interactive frameworks for fluid-structure interaction.

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, I earned my B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University. Before joining UNCW, I conducted research at the University of Texas at Austin and Louisiana State University, worked as a coastal marine engineer at COWI, and served as an assistant professor at McNeese State University. I am a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina (No. 063269) and Texas (No. 157642) and an active member of ASCE, ASME, ASBPA, LES, and SFSS.

I enjoy taking on creative projects. I love sports.
